Documentation > Compiling, installing, starting and stopping, uninstalling

Compiling

Compiling is done by the usual commands :
$ tar xzvf zeep.tar.gz
$ cd zeep/
$ ./configure
$ make

By defect, all the modules are compiled (except mod_ssl). To choose if a module must be compiled or not, the --enable-module_name=yes|no option should be passed to the configure script.
For example, to not compile the mod_listdir module, and compile the mod_ssl module, it is necessary to pass the following parameters to configure :
$ ./configure --enable-listdir=no --enable-ssl=yes

For the entire options list of the configure script, pass the -h option in parameter.

Installing

Installing is done as root user, with the following command :
# make install

The executable is copied to the /usr/bin/ folder.
Modules are copied to the /usr/lib/ folder.
Start/stop script is copied to the /etc/init.d/ folder.

Stopping and starting

Server starting/stopping is done with the /etc/init.d/zeep script..
To start the server :
# /etc/init.d/zeep start

To stop the server :
# /etc/init.d/zeep stop

Uninstallating

Uninstalling is done as root user, with the following command :
# make uninstall

The executable is removed from the /usr/bin/ folder.
Modules are removed from the /usr/lib/ folder.
Start/stop script is removed from the /etc/init.d/ folder.
